What happens if I am a certain age during the Qualifier and a different age during the World Latin Dance Cup?

As long as you are the correct age at the time of your qualification, you can compete in this same division at the WLDC that same year, even if you had a birthday during the year. For example if you are 17 at the time of the Qualifier and you are competing in the Junior Division and then you turn 18 between the Qualifier and the WLDC, you can still compete as a Junior even if you are now 18, but for the last time. The following year you will have to compete as an adult.

If you are an AMATEUR at the time of your qualification, but get hired for a paying dance job or gig in between the Qualifier and the WLDC, you can still compete as an Amateur in that division in which you qualified (not in any additional divisions!) for the last time.

It is very important to read ALL the rules carefully, you can find the detailed version, plus individual information for each division here: RULES & REGULATIONS
